Crunchyroll Expands Linear TV Offerings in Brazil

The world’s biggest anime and manga destination (40+ million registered users, 1+ million subscribers) Crunchyroll is expanding its linear TV programming in Brazil, with a new dubbed series and dedicated block on Rede Brasil (RBTV).

“The anime community spans far and wide, and we’re always looking to create more experiences for fans to connect — with both their favorite shows and with each other,” said Joellen Ferrer, VP of Communications, Ellation. “Brazil is one of our largest and fastest-growing markets, and we’re excited to expand our relationship with Rede Brasil to now bring anime fans together on a daily basis.”

Beginning August 6, Crunchyroll will take over RBTV Mondays through Fridays from 8 to 8:30 p.m. local time, with Portuguese-dubbed versions of Black Clover (Mon., Wed., Fri.), Re:Zero (Tues.) and Bungo Stray Dogs (Thurs.)  The brand first launched on air in Brazil back in April with an anime hour on Saturdays and Sundays, featuring subtitled episodes of Black Clover and Re:Zero.
